Anwar Ratol — you will also see Anwer Ratol on crates and menus — is the Pakistani mango for people who already think they know mangoes. It is small to medium, bright yellow when ripe, and concentrated in a way Chaunsa and Sindhri are not. Named after the Punjab grower Anwar-ul-Haq, it is treated as a gift fruit at home and as a specialty item in Canada.
When it is in stock, it lives on our Anwar Ratol product page.
How Anwar Ratol eats
The flesh is sweet, aromatic, and almost buttery. Because the fruit is smaller, you get more perfume per bite and less “bulk.” It is fibreless in the way the best Pakistani mangoes are, and it makes a mess of a napkin if you eat it properly. Count on 8–13 pieces per 2kg box — more fruit, smaller calibre.
Season
Anwar Ratol has a generous window by Pakistani standards: often May through August, overlapping both Sindhri and Chaunsa. That does not mean it is always on the shelf. Specialty varieties are packed when the groves say so, and export lots are finite. If the product page says out of stock, it is honesty, not a merchandising trick.
Anwar Ratol vs Chaunsa
Chaunsa is the crowd mango: larger, later, the name everyone recognizes. Anwar Ratol is the connoisseur mango: smaller, more intense, the one aunts smuggle in carry-on. Many of our Canada customers order both — Chaunsa for the main table, Ratol for the people who will notice. Read the full breakdown in the variety comparison.
Ordering in Canada
Same export format as the rest of our line: 2kg boxes, bundles of four, minimum 8 boxes, pickup cities and carrier delivery. Distributors who want Anwar Ratol as a premium SKU should request allocation rather than relying on leftover consumer inventory.
If you have never had a true Ratol, this is the variety that converts people. Check availability or ask when the next lot is flying.
